Hello! And welcome to my dark corner of the internet!

For a long time now, I've wanted some cyber-space to share my drawings and song lyrics. I've drawn since I was a kid, and have written songs since high school. Hopefully, what you find here will pretty much be the best stuff.

Art, by nature, is usually both a solitary and self-explanatory activity. Solitary, in the sense that gestation is often helped along by solitude. Self-explanatory, in the context that if the art's any good in the first place, it probably should speak for itself, and reward the visitor to its world with laughter, a smile, or some flash of identification.

As for the solitude, the great Wally Wood used to compare toiling endlessly at the board with a lifetime's sentence of solitary
confinement. I always think of that, whenever somebody tells me how fun it must be, creating and getting paid for it. Fun? Yeah, sometimes it's fun, when the drawing or writing is going well. When it isn't going well, it's work, like any other.

As far as the self-explanatory aspect of art goes, I have little patience for the presumption of creativity in any medium that requires its audience to play guessing games as the price of admission. If a painter or a writer or a director can't be bothered to figure out his own point or message in advance, or at least to rationalize it by the time he's finished, why should I do his job for him?

Message is a word full of freight, though, and what's displayed here are only doggerel and drawings. I hope some of them bring you pleasure. They were done for no better reason.

I'd like to thank a few people, for major assists with this site. First, big-time gracias to Paul Michael Kane, the Svengali of PMK's Imagination, for his excellent design work, kibbitzing, and perseverance. Click the logo to find out more about Paul, and the services he offers.

I'd also like to thank Vladimir Fiks, a heck of a talent in his own right, and an equally nice guy, for taking a stab at adding digital
colors to my work. Several collaborations between us are represented here. Here's knocking on wood, Vlad, at the prospect of enjoying more.

A tip of the hat, finally, to Mike Halbleib, for masterfully inking one of my favorite pieces, Love At Stake, which appears in the Gallery. Mike also did a swell job of embellishing Strange Communions, and What The Bat Dragged In.

That's about it, except to remind you I'm available for commissions.
I'd love to render a beautiful Asian nude, just for you. Or maybe a
vampire seductress, or one of my original superheroines.

Take care! Be kind.

Peace,
